Salvation Army Administrative Processor in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Summary The Salvation Army Northern Division Harbor Light Center (HLC) and satellite locations is doing the most good by providing shelter, housing, and holistic, person-centered, supportive services to over 300 people each night. HLC also offers worship services, pastoral care, and connections to community partners. The Administrative Processor is responsible for account coding and data entry for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Accurately process, code, and record program/client receivables, invoices, reimbursement requests, and cash receipts. (35%) Manage, monitor, and audit the usage of purchased transportation/gift cards. (15%) Prepare and deposit funds as assigned. (15%) Perform administrative support tasks (e.g., scanning and preparing documents). (15%) Ensure adequate supporting documentation for transactions, filing promptly. (10%) Assist accountants in processing in-kind donations. (5%) Process, sort, and deliver incoming mail. (5%) 1010 Currie Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55403 Full Time, 40hrs/week $22.23/hour Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree preferred. Previous experience in data processing and account coding is preferred. Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver's license, and meet MVR requirements. Competencies Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence. Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time occasionally. Competency with PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe, General Ledgers, and standard office equipment required. Must communicate clearly in English and work in person or on the phone for reasonable periods. Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Driving/Travel Requirements Local driving using an agency vehicle occasionally to support the mission of The Salvation Army, including but not limited to bank deposits and picking up checks from headquarters.
