Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable: Process and monitor incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting to customer accounts.

  • Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients to resolve payment issues, answer inquiries, and establish payment plans as necessary.

  • Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, including aging reports and discrepancies, to ensure accurate financial records.

  • Collections: Contact customers with overdue accounts to initiate the collections process, track payment schedules, and manage follow-up correspondence.

  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring accurate AR data is included in financial reports.

  • Cash Receipts Journal: Maintain and update the cash receipts journal, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as sales and customer service to resolve billing or payment-related issues.

  • Process Payments: Ensure proper documentation and tracking of customer payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card transactions.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar accounting role.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.

  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
