Description We are offering a role based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in a hybrid work setting that involves a mix of remote and on-site work. This position falls within the accounting industry and requires the handling of a range of accounting functions. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the team in various tasks and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the process of closing the books every month.

• Oversee the approval of invoices and payments, ensuring all journal entries are correct.

• Review and correct adjusting entries as necessary.

• Ensure all accounting activities adhere to the established accounting principles and company procedures.

• Review the company's funding and ensure it’s being tracked and coded correctly.

• Sort through the descriptions of items downloaded from the GL system for accurate categorization.

• Ensure all payment or expense items related to specific projects are labeled correctly.

• Ensure the consistent application of a specific funder code across all relevant entries.

• Generate detailed Excel spreadsheet reports as required.

• Review and improve the process for segregation of duties as necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine software

• Knowledge of Concur software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Ability to handle Billing Functions
