Job Summary The Vendor Relationship Specialist serves as a liaison between CareOregon and the vendors contracted to provide services on behalf of CareOregon or any of its lines of business. In coordination with the CareOregon contracting departments (Procurement, Provider, and Legal Affairs), this position helps ascertain program needs, negotiates scopes of work, collaborates with contracting departments for contract development, and maintains vendor contracts for assigned department(s). Responsibilities include building effective relationships with vendors and internal departments with attention to ongoing service needs, monitoring vendor performance, helping to ensure quality control and compliance, and recommending improved vendor and contract-related administrative processes. Essential Responsibilities Acts as the primary program liaison with vendor for services. Researches, gathers, and develops program service requirements (scope of work), including any regulatory or funding requirements, for the procurement and/or contracting processes. Acts as the primary program liaison with contracting departments for the procurement and/or contracting process; provides growing program knowledge to help guide vendor agreements. Ensures vendor contract administration and services are in compliance with CareOregon policy and applicable state and federal rules and regulations; provides input for internal legal and compliance teams for compliance review and tracking.
