Robert Half Staff Accountant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to become a part of our team. The role is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53202, United States. The Staff Accountant will be instrumental in managing and executing various accounting tasks, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and handling accounts payable and receivable.
Responsibilities
• Oversee complete general ledger accounting and reporting for a range of clients
• Manage the reconciliation of both simple and complex balance sheet accounts
• Generate financial statements and reports, which include profit and loss statements and balance sheets, as necessary
• Ensure subsidiary accounts are balanced by reconciling entries
• Prepare a trial balance and reconcile entries to maintain the general ledger
• Oversee bank deposits and execute bank reconciliations
• Administer payroll and generate relevant reports
• Code payables as required
• Collect, analyze, and summarize account information and trends to prepare financial reports
• Handle accounts receivable duties
• Ensure the company complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to these, filing reports, and advising management on necessary actions
• Contribute to the team's objectives by delivering related results as needed
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP. Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Well-versed in handling General Ledger
• Ability to record accurate Journal Entries
• Familiar with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle software
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
