Position Summary Under the direction of the Director, Core Laboratories, develops and implements laboratory techniques and performs complex experiments to contribute to the completion of research projects that involve flow cytometry. Provide consultation with flow cytometry shared resource users to achieve their experimental goals. Design, validate and perform downstream analysis of high parameter flow cytometry panels. Collaborates with principle investigators and their research staff to facilitate the accomplishment of their research goals through not only flow cytometry but also related fields including fluorescence microscopic imaging, single cell and spatial biology. Contributes to technical developments in the VBRI Shared Resources through independent research, pilot experiments, and networking with professional contacts in the field. Responsibilities Works with Director, Core Laboratories and other flow cytometry staff members to provide the expertise and resources required to facilitate accomplishment of experiments involving fluorescence activated cell analysis and sorting. Provide tools and expertise in spectral flow cytometry including complex panel design and data analysis Collaborates with PIs and their staff to explore flow cytometry-related technologies like imaging cytometry, fluorescence microscopic imaging, and approaches in single cell and spatial biology to accomplish their research goals.
