This role is hybrid in Milwaukee and you will report to Director - Adv Tech. Position Summary: Works in close collaboration with Rockwell Automation senior leadership, business units, resource groups, peer managers, and reporting researchers. Supports teams in identifying, developing, and demonstrating advanced mechatronics and industrial communications concepts. Leads multidisciplinary research team(s) in solving problems requiring a wide range of expertise. Leads planning and execution of laboratory operations. Supports the development of and ensure meeting budgets. Identifies and facilitates development opportunities for the lab and its members. Ensures safety and security of all laboratory operations. Mentors researchers and other teams (as appropriate) in the performance of assigned activities. Actively collaborates with other leaders to support organizational objectives. Responsibilities: Manage safe and secure day-to-day operations of RA\'s Advanced Technology laboratory in Milwaukee, WI Help research teams develop, manage, and achieve project/program goals and objectives. Navigate across potential language, location, time, and cultural barriers to optimize laboratory contribution. Develop long-range laboratory talent management plans. Develop long-range facilities management plans. Support the development of budgets and manage within prescribed financial limits. Help shape research portfolios to meet RA needs and objectives.
