Supported by our seminal studies conducted to elucidate the molecular chaperones and mechanisms underlying ischemic cardioprotection, inheritable cardiomyopathy and redox signaling pathways, our research program seeks to bridge understanding between the complex pathobiological processes in disease pathogenesis (e.g., COVID-19, cardio-oncology) and how certain molecular stress signal trigger cellular cells and the recovery of multi-organ injury (i.e., heart, lung, kidney). When coupled to the candidate\'s commitment, courage and self-confidence, our programs offer complementary experiences ranging from studies (e.g., spatial transcriptomics) of human autopsies in situ, \'omics\' studies in vivo and disease modeling using human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cells and organoids alongside ML/AI algorithms.
