In the role of Postdoctoral Felllowyou will beworking in Biophysics.Purpose The Marassi laboratory, in the Department of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), invites applications for a Postdoctoral position in the area of structural biology. Research projects focus on protein-protein, protein-lipid, and protein-biomineral interactions in the context of host-pathogen interactions and diseases of aging (macular degeneration and Alzheimer\'s disease), with a strong focus on cellular and near-native samples. Candidates must have a PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or closely related field, and should have experience in biochemistry and/or biomolecular structure determination. The successful candidate will participate in experimental and computational structural biology studies, data analysis, and manuscript preparation to advance research goals. State-of-the-art research resources are available for NMR in solution and the solid-state, EPR, X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, mass spectrometry, biomolecular analysis, and high-performance computing. Prepare text and graphic results for manuscripts and presentations. Present at and participate in scientific meetings held the laboratory and at conferences.Qualifications PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or closely related field. Experience in biochemistry and/or biomolecular structure determination. Understanding of general and complex laboratory procedures and scientific methods. Ability to work independently to develop and apply research protocols.
