The Department of Medicine - Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the inpatient services located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Froedtert Hospital, Center for Advanced Care, and other inpatient units. Learn more about: Primary Function/Responsibility Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Hematology/Oncology/BMT intervention in inpatient environment as a member of the HemOnc/BMT inpatient service. Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care of this team through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard. Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care. Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care of this team through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard. Participates in ongoing clinical research projects related to the field of hematology/oncology/BMT Core Responsibilities Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifies normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial status. Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information Develops pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans. Monitors effectiveness of plan of care. Educates patients on disease and treatment plans. Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed. Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents. Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
