Brady Corporation Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift - $2500 Sign on Bonus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
What We Need:
The Maintenance Technician will maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial systems throughout the facility along with performing basic maintenance tasks and completing project work while maintaining safe working conditions and following prescribed safety practices both independently and in a team environment.
This position is located at our manufacturing plant at 2230 W. Florist Ave in Glendale, WI. This is a 3rd shift position which typically works 11pm - 7am.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform duties required to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
Interpret, install, and modify control systems including programmable controllers, drives, etc.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repairs for equipment.
Interpret and maintain documents, prints, and schematics and understand how and why mechanical systems work.
Follow a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Provide a flexible schedule for unexpected repairs and variations in workload.
Research suppliers, contractors, and companies used to repair, replace, and/or manufacture parts including submitting purchase orders.
Performs other tasks as required. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
Able to work overtime on an basis including other shifts or weekends as assigned.
Must be able to physically perform the job including lifting & carrying 50 lbs, pushing & pulling 150 lbs, and climbing ladders.
Able to multitask and effectively handle multiple assignments through effective project prioritization and time management
Provide basic mechanics toolbox to complete basic maintenance tasks including, but not necessarily limited to, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools.
Able to comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
