If so, The Pfister is looking for a Lobby Lounge Bar Porter to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. As a Lobby Lounge Bar Porter you will be responsible for the initial preparation and servicing of the bar, making sure that all items are stocked, allowing us to serve our guests their drink of choice. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976. What you will be doing: Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels. Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for outlet bars. Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy. Store products properly and in designated areas. Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas. Scoop and transport ice to service areas. Transport and maintain portable bars and tap units. Assist with additional duties as requested by management. What we are looking for: Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory. Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items. Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests. Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment. Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs. What\'s in it for you?
