JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Are you interested in an opportunity to learn more about health improvement and philanthropy? This internship offers the opportunity to have a behind the scenes look at a variety of support tasks in several functional areas of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment. Interns will help support AHW\'s work in the grant management, communications, and compliance units, along with general office administrative support. Under general supervision, and in collaboration with AHW staff and leadership, projects will be assigned as identified focusing on the following: general administration, finance, scheduling, report creation, data entry, event planning, background research, presentation creation, grant management activities and compliance activities. Under general supervision, assist various functional areas of AHW Endowment on a rotating basis. About AHW Endowment - The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment was established by the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004 to receive a portion of the charitable funds from the conversion of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin from a nonprofit organization to a for-profit corporation. The proceeds of the sale were generously gifted to Wisconsin\'s two medical schools - MCW and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health - on behalf of the people of Wisconsin. AHW proudly calls the MCW School of Medicine home. It is this strategic placement in the third largest private medical school in the nation - within Wisconsin\'s largest private research institution - that enables us to steward this gift, combining the power of philanthropy with that of academic medicine to serve as a catalyst for positive change statewide. Responsibilities: Coordinate a variety of administrative activities related to non-profit philanthropy Assist in planning programming activities, schedule meetings, assist with event planning Conduct background research and summarize themes Create tracking spreadsheets and compile reports; analyze data on key areas of AHW work to develop reports and dashboards Participate in weekly collaborative meetings with AHW team Utilize AHW\'s engagement in Catchafire platform to research viable projects and vet pro-bono experts Query topics and create presentations via Microsoft Office suite Assist with data entry into AHW\'s grants management platform Salesforce; review existing databases and explore new, alternative ways to display information.
