Job Title: Fitter Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder for the 1st shift (6 am-2:30 pm, Monday through Friday) to work with mild steel, creating parts for various projects throughout Wisconsin. You will be involved in building structures for notable developments including Sendiks, Summerfest Stage, and Miller Park. This position requires welding 1/4 to 3/8 inch plates for columns and heavy plates of 1 inch or more.
Responsibilities
Perform flux core and MIG welding on structural steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and weld symbols accurately.
Fit and fabricate steel components according to specifications.
Utilize plasma cutters, shears, and brake presses for steel fabrication.
Ensure joint penetration and quality of welds.
Weld plates ranging from 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch and handle heavy plates.
Essential Skills
Proficient in flux core and MIG welding.
Strong blueprint reading skills.
Experience with tape measures and weld symbols.
Skilled in fitting and fabricating in a steel fabrication environment.
Certified welder.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with plasma cutters, shears, and brake presses is a plus.
Ability to work 40-50 hours a week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
