Our client, is seeking a Facilities Planning Specialist to join their team.

Job Title: Facilities Planning Specialist

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Pay Range: DOE

What’s the Job?

  • Responsible for facility related projects in coordination with member of the facility planning team and independent work on smaller scale projects.

  • Requires the ability to create floor plans and design solutions utilizing basic knowledge of appropriate space for circulation, various codes, ordinances, and statutes relative to building occupancy standards.

  • Requires the ability to problem solve, prioritize requests, exercise judgment and execute to job completion.

  • Performs additional functions which provide support to the team such as monitoring inventory levels, product naming for warehouse inventory and conducts yearly audit functions.

  • Assists planners with the research, specification and coordination of the selection process with manufacturers, and vendors.

What’s Needed?

  • BS degree Interior Design with a preferred minimum of one year relevant work experience.

  • Basic knowledge of corporate space planning, systems furniture applications required.

  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to take work from start to finish including customer follow-up.

  • Basic understanding of municipal codes, ADA requirements and other aspects of design affecting health and safety required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals throughout the organization

  • Work experience must include demonstration of time management, analytical ability, superior verbal and written skills as well as sound decision making abilities.
