Brady Corporation Compliance Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

What We Need:

Brady Corp is seeking a compliance engineer. In this role, the compliance engineer will be actively working with our new product development (NPD) and sustaining teams to develop plans and manage testing as required for regulatory compliance, and to contribute to the on time launch of highest quality compliant products.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Following EMC, product safety, wireless certification, and hazardous substance compliance submittals through the complete process to ensure approvals are received in time for planned production. Intervene where necessary to assure timely, technically correct, approval is received to support product schedule.

  • Managing all required reporting to agencies for Brady’s existing products to maintain compliance in the various countries that require renewals.

  • Providing reliable execution of documented certification processes to achieve quality, cost, workflow, and on-time product delivery goals.

  • Providing budget and timeline data to the various teams, and execute plans to ensure proper product compliance in the global markets in which Brady does business

  • Preparing appropriate documentation and sample submission packages for compliance partners such as NRTL (product safety), TCB/SAR (wireless approvals), and GMA (type approvals)

  • This position will be located in Milwaukee, WI and requires 10-20% travel.

    What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology (electrical, electromechanical, industrial etc), or equivalent.

  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, an associate's degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: product EMC, product safety, wireless approvals, hazardous substance compliance (REACH/RoHS/Prop65).

  • Experience with electromechanical development and/or testing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and presentation skills.
