In the role of Manager Clinical Researchyou will beworking inPediatric Emergency Medicine . Purpose Responsible for the effective management of research operations including overseeing, implementing, sponsor reporting, and monitoring all research operations in the Pediatric Emergency Department. This includes \25 project accounts involving internal, federal, industry, multisite, and investigator-initiated studies for \15 research investigators. The role includes managing and mentoring a team of clinical research coordinators and research assistants. Primary Functions Interface between functional units to provide operations expertise and advice relative to methodology, timing, sourcing, and analysis of proposals to recommend actions. Maintain grant timelines including tracking deadlines for program deliverables. and overseeing research study enrollments to ensure sponsor milestones are met. Maintains strategic awareness of extramural awards spending in order to recommend actions that will impact the optimization and utilization of research resources. Assist with grant related budget processes Communicate productivity ideas and programs throughout research operations where applicable and act as a communication channel between units to ensure productivity and other value-added ideas are implemented. Coordinate and lead special projects as directed by the Research Director and Division Chief of PEM. Lead the development of new process and manage operations on cross-functional teams and task forces where appropriate. Apply working knowledge of operations and problem-solving techniques, team concepts, financial analysis, technical expertise, and personnel management to act as a change agent. Maintains current knowledge of innovative operations techniques and evaluation techniques to identify improvement opportunities. Assist in shaping policies and procedures to communicate operations standards focusing on strategic development. Oversee regulatory specialist tasked with developing and ensure compliance departmental policies, procedures and organizational tools to ensure with federal, state and institutional policies.
