JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview The Advancement Associate, Annual Giving provides the primary administrative support for the Annual Giving team at Marquette University. S/he is a key partner with teammates to develop a culture of philanthropy and stewardship among alumni, parents, students, and friends of the university. This position has the opportunity to work in a hybrid work arrangement, with time worked on campus as well as remotely. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Manage multiple marketing and outreach projects, ensuring colleagues are meeting deadlines and vendors are paid in a timely manner. Utilize project management software to track on timelines and follow up with teammates as needed to update progress. 2. Provide support for solicitation and stewardship outreach, both through direct marketing efforts (direct mail, email, digital) and through individual fundraiser interactions. Work closely with fundraisers and prospect management teammates to track outreach and prospect plans in Blackbaud CRM database. 3. Communicate via phone and email with volunteers, donors, friends, and other departments throughout the University by responding to various questions and requests for information using strong customer service skills. 4. Work in Blackbaud CRM to track donor interactions, maintain prospect plans and prepare reports to support Advancement work. 5. Support the planning and execution of the university\'s annual Give Marquette Day. Assist with planning, coordination and implementation of in-person giving opportunities for alumni, students, parents and friends. 6. Track on expenditures and invoices, working closely with colleagues and finance to ensure submission in a timely manner. 7. Provide support with entering relevant data and interactions with donors in database to assist with portfolio management. Maintain relevant department records and retrieve data from the Blackbaud CRM database. Collaborate with Advancement Services partners to request and review reports, submitting updates to ensure the database is updated with constituent data. 8. Other related duties as assigned to help support the department and University Advancement\'s goals. A minimum of one year of relevant experience Solid knowledge of grammar and strong written, verbal, and creative skills Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem solve. Familiarity with a business environment and procedures Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize work. Work efficiently in a team-oriented setting. Complete tasks with minimal supervision Be experienced in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Some evening and weekend hours required. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor\'s Degree preferred. Experience in Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
