Job Summary

This is a professional accounting position in the Lubar College of Business Dean’s Office. The Lubar College of Business is the second largest college on UWM’s campus and although not departmentalized has unique complexities through programs such as an Executive MBA program, customized Executive Programs and Center activity. The incumbent reports to the Divisional Finance Officer, functions as the primary Accountant for the College and independently performs budgeting, fiscal transaction analysis, financial analysis and report services for the College. The College’s budget includes GPR , program revenue, tuition differentials, gift and grant funding sources. The incumbent acts as lead worker for the Financial Specialists and supervisor for student employee. Accuracy of analysis and reporting is extremely important as the consequence of errors will impact the College.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, business, finance, or another related field

  • At least one year of related experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated efficiency with high attention to detail in accounting practices

  • Evidence of excellent planning, organizational and customer service skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years or more of related professional work experience

  • Experience working in the University of Wisconsin system

  • Experience with budgets or financial reporting & analysis

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Fund accounting experience

    Target Salary Range Salary will be commensurate with experience
