ManpowerGroup Warehouse Night Shift Manager in Milton, Vermont

The Warehouse Night Manger oversees night shift warehouse employees’ production task ensuring efficiencies and development of competent team of workers through coaching and counseling, performance management and effective communications.

  • Oversees all nightly Inventory Functions, including organization of product.

  • Oversees all inbound, outbound freight.

  • Use computer, handheld electronic units, voice commend headsets.

  • Use hand carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and run shrink wrap machinery.

  • Is dependable, punctual, accurate, and has quality to work.

  • Assigning and overseeing all task of night shift employees as well as transportation department.

  • Maintains harmony among staff, conducts disciplinary actions, issues oral or written instruction.

  • Approves and maintains all night shift timesheets, and any time off scheduling.

  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items picked/packed/shipped.

  • Answer any questions/concerns that arise.

  • Communication with PBC’s and Customers.

  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or 1-to-2-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Ability to read, write, do mathematics, and comprehend instructions.

  • Ability to manage a team of people, have a business acumen.

  • Ability to work as team, quickly adapt, make judgement calls, be professional, and learn new skills.

  • Support and lead with organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building skills and problem solving.

  • This is an essential on-site position during inclement weather.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages 2-3 subordinate supervisors who supervises 25-55 employees.

  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies and applicable laws

  • Responsible for all the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of second shift.

  • Responsibilities include problem solving, managing, interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Open and close the building.

Hours: Sun-Thurs 4pm-1230am. Sundays start at 3pm.

Salary starting 58K -68k a year.
