Eaton Corporation Senior Product Engineer in Milton, Ontario

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from Day 1. Candidates must reside within 80km of Milton, Ontario, Canada.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Senior Product Engineer will create, support and implement market segment strategies to grow sales, profits and market share for the transfer switches, power envelope, and paralleling switchgear product lines. The product engineer’s main responsibilities will be to maximize both internal and external customer satisfaction and achieve strategic and financial objectives. The product engineer will identify, develop and deliver new product requirements and/or design changes to engineering and follow through on delivering to the marketplace. The Senior Product Engineer will be located out of Milton, Ontario, Canada.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead company resources and work closely with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) agents, regional sales, distributors, and Gen-OEMs to achieve sales and growth objectives for transfer switches and paralleling switchgear.

  • Identify and help team deliver major sales opportunities, initiatives, and new channels to market.

  • Measure and report product forecast, share, market activities, voice of the customer, and competitive intelligence.

  • Develop, conduct, and coordinate training for customer, agent, distributors, contractors, and customers.

  • Aid the Panelboard/Switchboard/ATS Marketing group to create/implement strategic and profit plans for core and specific segments.

  • Drive innovation and product development and updates through close coordination with transfer switch and switchgear group product line managers, product managers, product engineering and product specialists.

  • Drive product engineering team, suppliers and customers.

  • Lead the development of supporting marketing collateral, including presentations, application guides and product aids.

  • Approve pricing policies for products within the ATS/paralleling switchgear.

  • Manage and support day to day customer and tactical activity as needed (order expedites, plant load planning, administration of credits and returns, supporting warranty administration, etc.); coordinate large-scale orders/projects to maximize on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Act as member of the Panelboard/Switchboard/ATS team to seek out and engage new opportunities for the division.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Must have):

University degree in engineering, business, or marketing.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or engineering in the electrical power distribution industry.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

No relocation provided. All candidates must currently reside within 80km of Milton, Ontario, Canada

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to have):

A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering Management.

Demonstrated product management, product development and marketing skills.
