Manufacturing Program Manager

The job function of this Manufacturing Program Manager is to manage critical supply chain optimization and transition programs between in-house manufacturing and external suppliers into new suppliers and contract manufacturers. Provides leadership to drive and consistently track product development on NPI programs in a complex multi-site, multi-product, multi-release environment of medication management systems. This is an individual contributor position with responsibility in delivering tangible results will be measured through improved cross-functional team planning, coordination, and the implementation of processes, and tools to deliver world class products efficiently, with rapid time-to-market and with risk mitigated plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Global Manufacturing you will be responsible for execution and management of key supply chain optimization transition programs.

  • Creating detailed project plans for key transition activities with dependencies and milestones.

  • Work closely and acts as a key interface and coordination point with Marketing, Strategic Materials, Manufacturing, Hardware (R&D), Software, Test, and Technical Support teams to ensure that full product team deliverables, issues, budgets, schedules from various groups are driven, coordinated, tracked, communicated and decisions driven, and consensus built.

  • Coordinate plans to transition products and/or components from internal and external suppliers into new supply chain partners.

  • Hands on problem resolution for technical, operational, quality and logistics issues that are discovered during the transition projects.

  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements while meeting high quality standards.

  • Escalate key issues quickly and effectively and help drive to resolution. When challenges arise, show leadership in pulling cross-functional teams together to address critical issues.

  • Schedule and document meetings, meeting notes, actions and prepare presentations. Maintain and communicate team status on Intranet.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects / initiatives, drive deliverables in highly matrixed organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive supply chain optimization projects through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, global geographies, and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving mindset and skills to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

  • Well-developed cross-functional program management with proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering or Program Management

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Program Management

  • 3+ years’ experience using supplier selection criteria, supplier qualification processes, and transfer of commercial products between suppliers.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Held supply chain or manufacturing engineering roles in OEM and Contract Manufacturing companies.

  • ISO 13485 & 9001 experience

  • FDA regulated medical device experience 21CFR820

  • ERP/MRP knowledge, SAP Materials Module

  • Experience with global programs including team members or stakeholders from different cultures, languages, and time zones.

  • Hands-on experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques and culture (Green belt would be an advantage).

  • Experience working in highly matrixed organization and delivering results

Work Conditions:

  • Located in Milpitas, CA

  • 20% travel

  • Extended or irregular work hours.

Base Compensation: $94,500 to $135,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as location, education, experience, and skillset.
