We are currently seeking a skilled Drill Press Operator to join our team! As a Drill Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating drill presses to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute to our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production.

salary: $21 - $24 per hour

shift: Third

work hours: 10 PM - 7 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate drill presses to perform drilling, reaming, countersinking, and tapping operations.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine specifications.

• Select and install appropriate drill bits and tools for each job.

• Adjust machine settings such as speed and depth of cut to achieve desired results.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of parts.

• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine maintenance on equipment.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
