What We Would Do: We sell electrical supplies (little things like: pop-in boxes, wall plates, switches, circuit breakers; big things like: panelboards, paddle fans, wire, conduit).

What You Would Do:

  • RECEIVING (unloading freight (with forklift), checking in freight (on computer), stocking freight (on shelves)
  • You may also help out with: Order Fulfillment, Delivery, Product Transfers (between inventory locations), Cleaning, etc.

This job is probably 50% MENTAL and 50% PHYSICAL.

MENTAL- 90% of the time the products you deal with are EASYthe part number matches exactly between the physical product, the product box and the product location label in the Warehouse (i.e., Wall Plates, Smoke Detectors, Exit Signs, etc.). 10% of the time the products you deal with are HARD due to oddball situations and YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR BRAIN(i.e., sometimes one little digit in the part number is the difference between 2 completely different products; sometimes physical products do not have part numbers on them; sometimes we swap Vendors temporarily due to availability issues but you still have to check it into the computer as the usual Vendor for consistencys sake).

PHYSICAL- (See the description beside Receiving above). You will be on your feet throughout the whole day, not sitting down (unless on the forklift or taking a quick break). While we have forklifts to do the heaviest lifting, you will still need to be able to lift 75+ pounds (most of the time 75+ pounds isnt the case, but for certain bigger items like paddle fans, meter panels, conduit, wire, etc.). You will be bending over to check part numbers and stock shelves. Our Warehouse has fans for the summer and heaters for the winter, but still you will be spending a significant amount of time outside and inside with the garage doors open in order to unload trucks and make trips between inventory locations.
