Reporting into the country manager, the District Manager:

  • Accountability for Customers relationship and performance in specific territory, managing the 10+ sales force and FTEs in order to maximize revenue and profitable growth for Abbott, in collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, Education & Customer Program departments.

  • key decisions around strategy and following priorities of the assigned territory, including kol management plan and corrective action around underperforming situation.

  • maintain and extend deep and broad relationship with Accounts, Customers, professional within the medical community.

  • work closely with FTE Supervisor in order to ensure the optimal territory technical coverage and to guarantee the best clinical support for complex procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically five to seven plus years of sales or clinical support experience with proven experience influencing customers in a healthcare-related setting, ideally in medical device industry; experience in cardiology or cardiac medical devices preferred

  • Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices

  • Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures

  • Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of customers and colleagues, working with and directing others effectively by using behavioral styles and adapting communication

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills

  • Willingness to travel 70% of the time

Geographies covered: Milan, Turin, Florence, Rome
