NBC Universal Category Trainee in Milan, Italy

Universal Brand Development globally drives expansion of the company's intellectual properties, franchises, characters and stories through innovative physical and digital products, content, and consumer experiences. Along with franchise brand management, Universal Brand Development's core businesses include Consumer Products and Games and Digital Platforms based on the company's extensive portfolio of intellectual properties created by Universal Pictures, Illumination and DreamWorks Animation. Universal Brand Development is part of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.

We are looking for Category Trainee Italy & Iberia for the duration of 12 months (Classification level EQF 4).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Italy & Iberia Food, Beauty and Care (FBC) Category Manager providing valuable support for the day-to-day operational category and retail processes, including planning, executing, documenting campaigns, as well as pitch and presentation help.

  • Support the team in keeping up to date information and tracking of FBC licensing activations.

  • Assist the FBC Manager with trend and market research, monitoring the marketing activities of our key partners, competitors, as well as general industry trends and innovations.

  • Support the FBC manager in all the commercial process from concept generation, pitch creation, client pitching, contractual negotiation to business reviews (including forecasts).

  • Responsible of all the internal administration process including legal, finance, creative and category process

  • Assist the FBC Manager in preparing meetings, organizing agendas, pitch materials, and supporting in the day-to-day.

  • Strong interest in Consumer Products, Licensing and Food, Beauty and Care (FBC) industry with passion for creative and commercial relationship

  • Enthusiasm for product, trends, and innovation; interest in film, TV and digital content is a plus

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Confident communicator with organizational skills and ability to prioritize

  • Excellent Italian and fluent English language skills are a must

  • Good Spanish would be a plus

  • Willingness to learn, with the ability to take direction and absorb information quickly

  • Strong sense of team spirit and an all-round positive attitude
