Zions Bancorporation is accepting applications for our Business Continuity Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Business Continuity & Resiliency team working out of Zions new Tech Center in Midvale, UT. Position offers a 3/2 hybrid work schedule.

The Governance team within Enterprise Business Resilience helps to drive the evolution and convergence of related risk disciplines to deliver holistic business resilience, elevating the ability of Zions Bancorporation to more effectively anticipate, respond, recover and adapt to business disruptions in order to support tactical operational needs and strategic business goals. This remit includes a range of functional responsibilities from ensuring the program meets both internal and regulatory requirements, implementing robust quality assurance best practices, to analyzing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insight to enhance the performance of the program.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience to:

  • Responsible for the establishing and performing timely quality assurance reviews and review of work, processes and/or procedures for various business functions, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Collects, aggregates and analyzes data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights for program enhancement.

  • Makes recommendations based on the completion of quality analysis reports to be used in the identification of continuous quality improvement activities.

  • Establishes robust mechanisms to reduce the risk of quality issue recurrence and the sustainability of program improvements.

  • Manages risk identification and controls self-assessments and testing in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and analyzing continuous improvement efforts through lessons learned activities, including but not limited to observations, after-actions, and issues.

  • Validates standards, measures performance and determines compliance with, which includes monitoring trending, reporting and ensures that both internal and regulatory requirements are being met.

  • Identifies and assesses operational risk and impact, makes recommendations for effective policies and controls to manage risk within various operational and corporate functions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and

  • 6-8+ years’ experience with specific departmental/area processes, procedures, programs, regulations, compliance or other directly related experience.

  • Quality review/audit experience.

  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance programs, departmental/area policies, processes, procedures and practices. excellent audit, research, analysis, decision making and problem resolution skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be a self-starter.

  • Strong client relations and communications skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to handle and accomplish multiple tasks and resolve competing priorities effectively.

  • Ability to articulate sensitive and challenging positions on issues involving multiple parties.

  • Ability to influence department/division staff/management based on sound logical reasoning and fact-based analysis.

  • Ability to adapt to change and shifting business priorities.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Proficiency in PC and MS Office skills, Power Point.

    The position is located at the Zions Technology Cente r which is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
