How You Will Make an Impact:

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is a critical role in Atlas Sand’s expansion into Transportation. This position will create, develop, strategize and maintain a Best-in-Class maintenance organization for our transportation business. The Maintenance Manager will work hand in hand with the Operations and Management Team for the startup of this new business. This role is located in Kermit, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop the Maintenance Department

  • Schedule and Oversee all maintenance related work for diesel trucks

  • Ensure all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines

  • Evaluate Total Asset Lifecycle Costs

  • Own the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Responsible for Critical Spare Parts Inventory Management

  • Responsible for Maintenance Logs, Telematics Database, 6 Sigma Programs, Lean Shop Programs

  • Manage Maintenance Request for Work and Service History System

  • Manage Recovery of Broken-Down Assets

  • Manage and Maintain the Status and Location of Assets

  • Responsible for 3-5 Year Maintenance Improvement Plans and Vision

  • Manage Workorder Prioritization (Shutdown vs Maintenance)

  • Manage OEM Warranty Claims and Loaner Trucks

  • Accountable for DOT Inspections and Performance

  • Autonomous Truck Inspection Program

  • Responsible for Hiring and Performance Evaluations of the Maintenance Team

  • Willingness to Participate in Maintenance Activities as Needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Transportation managing a Maintenance Department

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles

  • Experience overseeing the coordination, planning, scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong aptitude in electronic communication, electronic record keeping and technical systems

  • Experience using CMMS software is a plus
