About you and this role

Dow Consumer Solutionshas an exciting opportunity for aGlobal Digital Communications & Content Leader! The preferred location for this position isMidland, MI, however other Dow North America locations are also open to this role. This position is part of the Dow Consumer Solutions Business Communications Team and will report to Global Business Communications Director, Performance Materials & Coatings.

In this role, you will have three main focus areas:

  • Digital Communications Strategy: You will be accountable for creating and leading results-oriented digital communication strategy, in alignment with Dow Consumer Solutions (DCS) business and market strategies, and Dow’s company-wide digital initiatives. You will collaborate closely with DCS business stakeholders and multiple functions in Dow to effectively manage all digital communication channels to drive business growth.

  • Global Content Strategy: You will also be responsible for leading the global content strategy, social media strategy and digital campaigns to advance positioning and communications in DCS strategic markets to achieve target outcomes.

  • People Leader Responsibility ofedgeteam: You will lead and manage the performance of ouredgeteam, an internal group based in Midland, Michigan, who supports business communications projects in Dow Consumer Solutions, including but not limited to social media campaigns, permission-based email marketing campaigns, webpage content support for dow.com, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the global digital marketing communications vision/strategy for the business, in alignment with DCS business growth strategy, marketing and business communications strategies.

  • Serve as a strategic digital advisor in the business and provide counsel to business communicators and marketers on digital communications strategy, digital communications value, content performance analytics, etc.

  • Lead DCS digital/social media strategy and priorities, including organic and paid campaigns, SEO/SEM, channel management, reputation management, communications plan integration, measurement and governance.

  • Lead, drive and manage the strategic content calendar at the DCS business level, ensuring consistent messaging across markets.

  • Represent DCS in Dow’s Content Advisory Board (CAB), working with corporate and business representatives to help drive an integrated approach to storytelling across Dow’s communications channels.

  • Drive and track content performance analytics for digital communications activities as well as customized marketing campaigns across relevant sites and platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, dow.com).

  • Own the digital communications budget and manage digital agencies, including agency performance and relationship management, etc.

  • Lead theedgeteam, manage team performance and prioritize resources for communication projects that support business growth.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.

  • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States or Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in marketing, business communications, digital and/or related communications disciplines.

  • A deep understanding of digital platforms and content marketing, along with excellent writing, editing and organizational skills.

  • Robust knowledge of emerging digital trends, tools, and analytics.

  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions and businesses and other stakeholder groups along with the skills to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously - prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Previous people leadership experience.

  • Agency management.

  • Budget management.
