Microsoft Azure Architect is responsible for architecting end-to-end Microsoft Azure solutions and lead the overall design across infrastructure, apps, and data solutions.

Job Description

We are looking for an Azure Architect to collaborate with stakeholders to design and architect Azure infrastructure solutions. This position will be full-time and onsite in Middletown, PA.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for architecting end-to-end Microsoft Azure solutions and lead the overall design across infrastructure, apps, and data solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and architect Azure infrastructure solutions

  • Responsible for conducting and revising sizing assessments for the solution components for UBOS and the high volume of transactions to be processed by UBOS on an ongoing basis

  • Architect and design the solutions to meet the needs in terms of size, scalability, agility, and high availability with strong Disaster Recovery design and testing to provide best in class uptime, RTO and RPO, across multiple systems Cloud hosted systems

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications

  • Implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance

  • Configure and deploy various Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure Active Directory, Azure SQL, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager

  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of Azure resources using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation frameworks

  • Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and other tools to ensure resource health, performance, and security

  • Identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and areas for optimization, proposing effective solutions

  • Continuously monitor resource utilization and provide recommendations for rightsizing and cost optimization

  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards for Azure environments

  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and remediation to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Azure resources

  • Stay informed about Azure security features, patches, and updates, applying them as necessary to mitigate risks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to align cloud solutions with business requirements

  • Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations for knowledge sharing and compliance

  • Collaborate with Contracts and Purchasing to ensure best available pricing for commission and ensure Azure spend is monitored and tracked correctly

What you'll need

Required:

  • 8 years’ experience as an Azure Architect required

Preferred:

  • 10+ years' experience as an Azure Architect

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
