Expected salary range of $111,600 to $124,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
This Nuclear Oversight (NOS) Senior Auditor is for the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide leadership and technical expertise to an innovative team of professionals conducting regulatory required audits to identify developing issues and trends before they become events or before external oversight organizations identify the issues. Provide assistance in the development of audit strategic plans, schedules, observations and performance measurement including fleet reports to ensure comprehensive and timely oversight. Assures that applicable regulatory requirements and commitments are met and evaluates the performance of line organizations to procedure requirements, policies, expected behaviors, management expectations, regulations, licensing documents, and design documents. Develops insights to establish why issues exist. Provides feedback on audit team performance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leads or participates in comprehensive audits of site organizations to assure program adequacy and implementation effectiveness. Responsible and accountable for performing site audits and communicating the results such that performance weaknesses are recognized and communicated as necessary to maintain fleet regulatory compliance and performance. Conducts audit preparation including development of required templates, briefings, and writing final reports. Provides direction to team members to ensure effective communication of all deficiencies encountered during the oversight conducted. Participates with a team of auditors that travel to multiple sites to complete audits. Provides written and verbal briefings to line management regarding the scope, status, and conclusions of audits. Provides input as necessary in support of site and comparative audit reports.
Performs observations of site activities when not auditing. Analyzes issues identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. This analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data. Results are communicated to senior management.
Must be able to obtain an audit team leader (ATL) certification and maintain this certification by performing as an ATL at least once every calendar year.
Track and follow-up significant issues identified during audits.
Perform missed opportunities to improve audit performance.
Provides innovative input into improvements for the audit program. This input would include recommendation for the scoping, scheduling, and conduct of future audits.
Assists in the development of audit team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in technical field with a minimum six years industry experience (e.g. power plant design, operations, maintenance, or other nuclear related activities) OR Associates degree with a minimum of eight years industry experience
Demonstrated ability to interface with Senior Station and Corporate Management and clearly communicate issues
Audit Team Lead certification required within one year of assignment Note: Minimum requirements identified above meet or exceed requirements of ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants, section 4.5.6.
