You could be a great fit for our operations team! Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an Operations Technician at its Middletown, OH facility. The Middletown site includes two Air Separation Units, two Liquefiers, an Argon Purification Plant, six PRISM Hydrogen Generators and multiple pipeline delivery systems. As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for controlling and monitoring the processes to produce Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and Hydrogen for pipeline and merchant customers. Plant Operations Technician Roles and Responsibilities: Fulfill both outside and inside operations tasks to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the facility. Gather and log various data around the plant. Troubleshoot plant process conditions using various in-plant indications of plant performance and data displayed on a modern DCS/HMI computer system. Maintain a logbook of daily operational activities. Issue Safety Work Permits, implement Lock-Out/Tag Out, and manage field execution of maintenance activities while working in the facility. Follow Site Work Instruction Manuals and adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety Standards. Maintain training program requirements and certifications. Perform routine rounds and preventative maintenance tasks. Perform water treatment tests for various cooling water systems. Calibrate and operate process Analyzers. Load cryogenic liquid trailers on multiple product lines. This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Qualifications / Requirements: Great attitude and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer proficiency and software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and/or military experience. Electrical, instrument or mechanical maintenance experience a plus. Ability to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawings a plus. Experience operating equipment using a PLC, HMI, or DCS system. Desire and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Participate in an on-call rotation. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift at least 50 lbs. Be able to meet call-in requirements as needed. Elevated work required.
