The RN Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of patient care to individuals and families in our General Surgery area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes activities and staffing needs based on the skill-mix needed for effective functioning of the department

  • Gathers input from staff, patients and families on ways to improve patient care and organizational services

  • Plans and identifies strategies to attain expected patient outcomes

  • Facilitates problem solving and continuous quality improvements through participation in ongoing department projects, staff huddles and monthly staff meetings

  • Assists the staff in developing and maintaining clinical competency

  • Completes staff schedules and assignments in a timely manner based on appropriate employee skill level and available skill mix

  • Communicates information effectively during staff meetings, department huddles and face-to-face encounters with all members of the healthcare team

  • Ensures that staffing plans and daily assignments are appropriate and communicated to all members of the healthcare team

  • Evaluates staff to ensure assessment and data gathering practices are timely, reliable, valid and comprehensive according to practice standards

  • Leads small and large-scale change

  • Partners collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization to create an environment in line with the Core Values of Crystal Run Healthcare

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Currently licensed as an RN in the State of New York

  • 3+ years of RN experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Supervisory or team lead experience

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
