The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient evaluation and treatment in inpatient and ambulatory settings, including consultation services; assume a leadership role with multidisciplinary treatment team members; oversee clinical care of patients assigned to team; ensure appropriate documentation of care; provide on call and weekend coverage as needed and when scheduled. Perform history and physical examinations as required. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $111,037 through $128,800 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). Qualifications Minimum Education: Masters in Nursing Post Masters Certificate – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Minimum Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-masters degree in a psychiatric setting with emphasis on care of patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Required Certification/Registration: NYS Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License – Psychiatry Certification for Prescriptive Privileges (DEA) ANCC Board Certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing within 120 days of hire Physical Requirements: Mobility required. Occasional lifts, positions, restrains, pushes and/or transfers patients. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Working Conditions: Works in behavioral health, medical/surgical and ambulatory areas. Primarily evening shift but hours may vary depending upon need. Contact with patients and families. Noise level is usually moderate. Subject to exposure to blood borne pathogens, dust, fumes, odors, mists, gasses, biological, mechanical, electrical, chemical and other hazardous materials. Expected to adhere to the Hospital’s Drug and Smoke Free work environment and to adhere to OSHA mandates and precautionary measures.
