Position Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources

Positions Supervised:Training and Development Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE

The Manager of Learning & Organizational Development leads the credit union's training and development efforts to enhance employee knowledge, skills, and engagement, while also spearheading organizational development initiatives. They assess developmental needs, design and implement effective training programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning aligned with the credit union's vision and values in support of the Great Worthy Cause. Collaborating with stakeholders, they drive initiatives to support team growth, development, engagement, and retention, while also implementing strategies to enhance overall organizational effectiveness and performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assess and analyze the training and development needs of the organization through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers and employees.

· Design and develop comprehensive learning and development programs, including technical training, onboarding, leadership development, and soft skills training, and employee engagement initiatives.

· Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and interactive training materials, such as online modules, instructional guides, videos, and presentations.

· Deliver or facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars to employees at all levels, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through various assessment methods, such as surveys, feedback sessions, and performance metrics.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and organizational development to continuously enhance our training offerings.

· Partner with HR and management to identify and address performance gaps and implement appropriate interventions, such as coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.

· Lead and support change management initiatives to drive organizational growth, promote a positive culture, and enhance employee engagement.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and consultants, to leverage resources and expertise in implementing development initiatives.

· Track and analyze training metrics and prepare reports to demonstrate the impact of learning and development initiatives to key stakeholders.

· Own processes related to learning management systems, including implementation, reporting, and adherence to required training.

· Coach and mentor managers through change processes associated with new initiatives in performance planning, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.

· Support organizational leaders to drive the organizational development vision and strategy and partner with HR leadership and managerial teams on organizational development initiatives.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Performance is measured against the roles assigned to the position and against goals established by the supervisor.

Position:Learning & Organizational Development Manager

Requirements

Required Experience and Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

· 3-5 years professional experience as Learning and Development Manager or in a similar role. Prior professional experience in human resources.

· Prior management experience.

· Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, instructional design methodologies, and adult learning theories.

· Solid understanding of organizational development concepts, change management strategies, and employee engagement techniques.

· Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners of diverse backgrounds and levels. Demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively across the organization. Strategic thinker who sees the big picture and connects efforts to measurable outcomes.

· Dynamic communicator who builds partnerships across the organization. Culturally competent, emotionally intelligent, and have strong interpersonal skills.

· Experience in designing and delivering both traditional and digital learning solutions, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making and measure training effectiveness.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.

· Proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement creative solutions.

· Professional certification in learning and development, such as CPTM (Certified Professional in Training Management) orCPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development), or the ability to obtain within 24 months of employment.

· Society for Human Resource Management SHRM-CP (SHRM-Certified Professional) certification preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with survey software a plus.

· Thorough knowledge of banking and regulation principles. This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

· Bilingual a plus.
