Responsibilities The Hospitalist Physician is responsible for overseeing the in-patients assigned of Garnet Health. Hospitalists are responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, adult patients. The Hospitalist Physician is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Hospitalist will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $ 255,971 - 294,158 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) Qualifications Minimum Education: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy. Minimum Experience: 2 (two) years of Experience in a Hospitalist setting preferred Required Certification/Registration: NY State Medical License Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hospital Medicine and Internal Medicine, Updated ACLS certification required. Updated BLS certification recommended Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required. Working Conditions: In-patient Hospital Service of Orange Regional Medical Center. Position will primarily be light work requiring lifting up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required.
