As part of MSU Extension (MSUE), this position provides leadership of local programs, clients, and participants, related to MSU Extension's online programming in all 4 institutes. At least 50% of programming will be Agriculture based. In alignment with the mission, programs, and initiatives of MSU Extension, delivers research-based information to program participants through various methods and/or provides support, coordination, and technical assistance of MSU Extension programs held in-person and virtually.

In this role, you will collaborate with MSUE instructors of online programs in order to facilitate in-person classes with delivery of online content, market, facilitate in person classroom delivery, and collect evaluation materials needed by the online instructor.   You will serve as the local representative and facilitator of the online class by arranging locations and setting up technical assets in order to deliver educational programs from on-line sources to local audiences in person and maintain appropriate records to provide certificates of training. Class locations will be held in Alpena, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Montmorency, Otsego, and Presque Isle Counties. 

You will be responsible for engaging in social media to market and promote programs including local and team Facebook, and other pages. Additionally, you will develop local and regional marketing channels to release marketing materials created for each educational activity.

Although negotiable, there will be space available for this position to work from the Presque Isle County MSU Extension office located in Rogers City Michigan.

Characteristic Duties/Responsibilities

Plan local programs, organize and carry out programs using existing scheduled online programming and facilitating a local classroom experience that focuses on the specific area of educational programming. This can also include planning events that will have live speakers.
