University of Miami Supervisor, Patient Scheduling, Full-Time in Miami, Florida

Shift: (Full-time, 40 hrs., days, evenings, nights, flexible shift, on call rotational coverage and weekends may be required.

Work Location: University of Miami Hospital and Clinics Cardiovascular Imaging

  • Oversees scheduling workflow for all exams and scheduling staff.

  • Oversees staff responsible for receiving faxed orders, performing quality reviews, and scanning data into system while promoting team effort.

  • Conducts performance improvement meetings with staff and administration to review performance, productivity, and alignment with department objectives.

  • Prepares staff work schedules to meet call volumes demands and electronically approves employee time cards.

  • Provides leadership, education, and orientation to all scheduling staff.

  • Maintains department standards and job descriptions.

  • Monitors staff productivity daily and communications results, discrepancies and solutions.

  • Prepares and delivers scheduling productivity monthly to administration and performs quality assurance monitoring on calls for each scheduler.

  • Performs rounding on patients and employees as needed.

  • Strategizes with leadership to identify and improve patient care services.

  • Serves as a technical expert and oversees workflow design and system implementation.

  • Performs annual strategic planning to proactively plan processes that will meet departmental goals.

  • Performs scheduling duties during high volume periods.

  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.

  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
