The Department of Patient Experience has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Supervisor, Patient Experience and Transport will provide leadership, direction, coordination, and administration to the Patient Experience and Transport team. The Supervisor, Patient Experience and Transport provides general oversight of the patient care experience. The incumbent will evaluate, administer, and manage all business and administrative matters including budget, operations, programs, metrics, and personnel administration for the assigned department.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Provides leadership, education, and orientation to all patient transport, representative, coordinator, and specialist staff. Strategizes with leadership to identify and improve patient care services and processes.

  • Ensures that transportation services, as well as hospital bed movement, are coordinated in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner according to established guidelines.

  • Oversees scheduling workflow for staff and prepares schedules to meet departmental demands.

  • Monitors and documents daily attendance and punctuality of staff.

  • Supervises, orients, trains, evaluates, and monitors the on-the-job performance of patient experience and transport staff.

  • Completes employee time records in the Kronos System.

  • Ensures employee compliance with meal-break requirements.

  • Monitors and ensures staff compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Actively dispatches transporters, personally filling service gaps when necessary.

  • Supervises and assures optimum workload assignment for both productivity and service goal congruity.

  • Establishes and maintains weekly and daily staff schedules to assure optimum coverage.

  • Produces monthly and quarterly productivity and performance improvement reports.

  • Coordinates office procedures and systems to complement both service and productivity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Minimum 2 years hospital transportation experience

  • Bilingual preferred
