Robert Half Senior Accountant in Miami, Florida

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Miami, Florida. The role involves general ledger accounting and managing financial reporting for LATAM countries. The industry is finance, and the workplace is a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a growing organization with multiple locations in US and Latam.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger accounting activities

• Conduct financial reporting for LATAM countries and ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Accurately reconcile to the general ledger and translate to local currencies

• Generate and review journal entries for financial records

• Review and analyze all financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Oversee audit processes in line with SOX compliance requirements

• Manage all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to ensure smooth financial operations

• Review contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure fair and beneficial terms

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor details and terms

• Utilize skills such as daily banking, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliation, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least 5 years of experience in a relevant role

• Proficiency in managing daily banking operations is required

• Experience with bank reconciliations is a must

• Skills in credit card reconciliation are essential

• Proficiency in month-end close procedures is required

• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must have experience with SAP software

• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is required

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred not required
