Security Officer

The University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science has an opening for a Campus Safety Officer. The addition to the Campus Safety Team will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for Students, Faculty, Staff, and campus visitors. Duties and responsibilities include performing campus and building patrol, responding to and documenting criminal incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences on campus, monitoring of close circuit televisions and responding to alarms.

High school diploma and 1 year of experience in security or public safety fields with minimal supervisor required. Must be willing to work flexible and varying hours including nights, weekends, holidays and weekends and be able toward during emergency situations (e.g. hurricanes). Must possess excellence oral and written communication skills and CPR, AED and first air certifications are preferred.

Pay Rate:

$17.15

Work Schedule:

Monday - 2pm to 10pm ( 6% shift differential pay)

Tuesday - 10pm to 6am ( 10% shift differential pay)

Wednesday - 10pm to 6am ( 10% shift differential pay)

Thursday - off

Friday - off

Saturday - 2pm to 10pm ( 6% shift differential pay)

Sunday - 2pm to 10pm ( 6% shift differential pay)
