Aston Carter SEC Financial Reporting Consultant in Miami, Florida

Description:

• Prepare and review SEC filings, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and Form 8-K, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Perform research, memos, and review of workpapers prepared by the team.

• Utilize Workiva and Hyperion/Smartview.

• Stay current with SEC rules and regulations, interpreting and implementing changes as necessary.

• Assist clients in resolving complex accounting and reporting issues related to SEC filings.

• Provide guidance and training to client teams on SEC reporting requirements and best practices.

• Communicate effectively with clients, auditors, and regulatory agencies on behalf of the client.

• Support audit processes and respond to auditor inquiries related to SEC filings.

• Monitor and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and timelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC reporting within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.

• In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.

• Strong proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with large-scale ERP systems as well as Workiva and Hyperion/Smartview are preferred.
