The department of Informatics and Health Data Science has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Research Associate 1 to work at UHealth. The Research Associate 1, SOM supports research activities for the assigned division by conducting laboratory experiments on assigned research projects. Moreover, the incumbent operates with the goal of advancing his/her expertise through continued education, training, and research.

  • Engage in basic project coordination which include developing project goals, submitting IRB documents and all compliance documents

  • Assist with development of scientific scholarship products such as manuscripts, PowerPoint, etc

  • Assist with basic data analysis

  • Perform specialized and complex experiments/studies.

  • Participate in the publication of significant research results.

  • Participate in training sessions and workshops.

  • Manage data, conduct interviews and publish research data.

  • Be able to communicate with senior-level researchers

  • Responsible of monitoring day-to-day activities of funded projects

  • Responsible for developing progress report

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to collect data using a spreadsheet and prepare study findings for publication.

  • Data management, including ensuring the quality and completeness of research data.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

  • Bilingual/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
