As a Biostatistics Assistant Director, your primary responsibilities include:

Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of biostatisticians, statisticians, and data analysts. Set departmental goals, allocate resources, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of statistical services. Study Design and Analysis: Collaborate with researchers, scientists from Sylvester to design research studies, clinical trials, or experiments. Develop appropriate statistical methodologies, sample size calculations, and data analysis plans. Oversee the implementation of statistical analyses using software packages such as SAS, R, or SPSS. Data Management: Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data used in statistical analyses. Develop and implement data collection, cleaning, and validation procedures. Collaborate with data management teams to establish robust data infrastructure and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Statistical Consulting: Provide expert statistical advice and support to researchers, clinicians, and other professionals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret complex data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships, and communicate statistical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, regulatory authorities, and industry partners. Present statistical findings, study results, and recommendations to diverse audiences, including scientific conferences, regulatory agencies, and executive leadership. Training and Development: Identify training needs within the biostatistics team and develop professional development plans. Mentor and support the growth of team members by providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for skill enhancement.
