Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to manage orders to facilitate sales or production and keep track of goods and services. Inventory Clerk responsibilities will include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. Are you a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills? Then this is the Inventory Clerk position for you.

Your responsibilities

• Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times

• Comparing costs from different vendors after obtaining estimates

• Working closely with the inventory analyst and purchasing manager

• Handling inventory by stocking and cataloging products

• Identify and call out discrepancies between physical counts and computer records

• Performing data entry

• Classifying and counting items

• Managing document discrepancies

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• 1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred

• Must be comfortable using inventory computer programs, such as spreadsheets, to update counts and compile reports

• Analytical and mathematical skills

• High attention to detail as well as problem solving skills

  • A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge of the range of company products and services
