Accenture’s Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practice empowers our clients to automate and manage their infrastructure through code, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability. These practices are essential for driving IT-enabled innovation and operational excellence. IaC professionals are proficient in modern IT methodologies and specialize in key areas such as Configuration Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Cloud Infrastructure Automation, Infrastructure Orchestration, and Compliance as Code.
You Are:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager to lead and scale our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practice within the Infrastructure Advisory division. This role involves driving the strategic direction of the IaC practice, enabling clients to modernize their infrastructure with automation, scalability, security, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to build client trust, deliver innovative solutions, and grow the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Leadership:
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the IaC practice, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the Infrastructure Advisory group.
Lead the development of innovative IaC frameworks, accelerators, and reusable solutions to address diverse client needs.
Stay ahead of industry trends to continuously evolve the practice with cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
Client Advisory and Delivery:
Partner with clients to assess their infrastructure environments and develop tailored IaC adoption strategies.
Oversee the delivery of large-scale IaC transformation programs, ensuring they align with client objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing thought leadership on infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and automation.
Team Management and Development:
Build and mentor a high-performing team of IaC specialists, architects, and engineers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Ensure resources are effectively allocated across client engagements to maximize impact.
Growth and Business Development:
Identify and develop opportunities to expand IaC services across new and existing clients.
Support the sales team in client proposals and RFP responses by showcasing the value of IaC in enabling business transformation.
Contribute to revenue growth by achieving sales targets and delivering profitable engagements.
Technical and Operational Excellence:
Drive the adoption of best practices in IaC, including modular design, version control, compliance as code, and security integration.
Leverage tools like Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, and CloudFormation to create scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
Optimize resource utilization through cost-effective IaC solutions and automation strategies.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's What You Need:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or DevOps, with a strong focus on IaC in recent years.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing large-scale IaC implementation projects or leading an IaC practice.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in advisory roles, working with senior business and IT stakeholders.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IaC tools and frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Chef
Minimum of 8 years of experience with with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus Points if You Have:
Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional).
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or similar.
Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA) and their implementation through Policy as Code.
Project Management (PMP) or Agile certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
