Elevance Health Director of Product Development, Provider Platforms in Miami, Florida

Carelon's Product Platform team is looking to hire a Director of Product Development specific to all Provider Communication Platforms that are enabled across Carelon's Product Portfolio, inclusive of medical benefits management products, behavioral health products, payment integrity products, pharmacy benefit management products, specialty risk products, utilization management and prior authorizations. This Director will look across the entire product portfolio where we communicate and interact with providers, and develop a Provider Experience Strategy connecting to our platform technology roadmap. They will drive the execution of these Provider experience outcomes within our current key platform functions. This People leader will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of new products and modifications of existing products for provider communication platforms.

How you will make an impact:

  • Oversees strategy and implementation of new products, including Platform products or product changes/enhancements.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on rate actions for existing products.

  • Investigate market opportunities and effects on the market for present products.

  • Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes, and other methods.

  • Monitors product performance and the competitive environment by benefit design, market segment and sub-region.

  • Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.

  • Supports the development of short- and long-term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.

  • Identifies platform and system needs to support short- and long-term product strategy.

  • Establishes product development policies to guide product development.

  • Monitors product development for compliance.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred.

  • Healthcare experience required with specific experience in health insurance, healthcare products and services, provider experience, digital communications, utilization management, and claims/payment integrity.

  • Experience in vendor selection, product and platform strategy, and product execution is preferred.
