Robert Half Auditing Clerk in Miami, Florida

Description

We are seeking an Auditing Clerk to be based in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, with a particular focus on auditing and data processing. You will work within a team setting, utilizing various software systems to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Essential Functions Investigates claims and counterclaims filed by and against the company including, but not limited to: interviewing all parties involved, including witnesses, if applicable; obtaining proper statements; scene photographs; and preserving evidence for court presentations, as required.

Maintains investigative files in an accurate and proper documented manner. Evaluates all corresponding medical records and obtains the opinion of medical experts, as warranted, to determine extent of liability and damages; ensures that the file contains all investigative material or documentation necessary to recommend settlement within the assigned monetary authority or denial pursuant to the investigative findings.

Conducts periodic file review to ensure accuracy on reserves and exposure.

Negotiates settlements subject to supervisory approval.

Analyzes claims related data, performs claim audits, and prepares tentative reports of findings. Performs other related work as required.

Minimum Requirements A minimum of 60 college credits, possession of State of Florida 520, or 620 license, with three (3) years of experience as an adjustor investigating automobile, general, public officials, or police professional liability claims. A Valid Driver's License from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application, however prior to appointment a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) must be presented to the Department of Human Resources and must be maintained valid throughout employment. OR In accordance with Florida Statute 626.860, an Attorney at Law duly license to practice in the State of Florida, with two (2) years of experience as an adjustor investigating automobile, general, public officials, or police professional liability claims. OR Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond high school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of the required experience.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and organize financial data

• Conduct regular interviews/audits/ tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Deliver top-tier customer service when resolving credit inquiries

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Insurance

• Familiarity with Risk Connect preffered

• Strong data processing skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in check processing and other related tasks

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Must possess strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team
