The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology in the General Neurology Division. The incumbent will carry out clinical care primarily providing o utpatient clinical care at Neurology satellite clinics . The incumbent will participate in the education of neurology residents and fellows along with conducting research and mentoring residents/fellows with their research.

Job Functions:

• Treatment and prevention of neurological disease, specializing in the treatment and Care for patients of general neurologic disorders in the outpatient settings throughout UHealth

• Train/mentor residents and fellows to increase their clinical fund of knowledge and interest/success with academic research

• Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences

• Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards

• Provide coverage on new inpatient service as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires an MD or DO degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)

• Neurology board eligible or certified

  Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)

• Excellent customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with other employees.

• Good organizational skills.
