Robert Half Accounting Manager in Miami, Florida

Description

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role is crucial within our organization as you will be handling various accounting and billing functions, reconciliations, payroll, and budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit

• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Supervise, and manage accounting department staff and provide constructive feedback

• Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations

• Assist with financial and tax audits

• Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team

• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.

Requirements • Must possess proficiency in accounting functions

• Experienced in billing functions and processes

• Knowledgeable in budget processes and planning

• Experience in handling payroll activities

• Ability to perform reconciliations and rectify discrepancies

• Strong leadership skills to manage and supervise a team

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability
